Alaska's Lake Lucille Bed & Breakfast

Carol is a second grade school teacher. Richard is in the Air Force. They enjoy snowmobiling, fishing and the great Alaska outdoors. They have one grandson, which they adore. Wasilla is a small town about 40 south of Anchorage. They worship at a Bible church.

 

Arizona -- Scottsdale (Phoenix)

La Paz in Desert Springs B & B

Susan and Luis live close to fine restaurants, hiking, golf, shopping, Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, WestWorld, Rawhide, horseback riding, desert tours, museums and other attractions. Luis is an independent insurance adjuster. Susan is a bookkeeper. They worship at an Independent Christian home meeting.

 

Colorado -- Divide (Woodland Park)

Jim and Anna’s home is one hour from Focus on the Family, 40 minutes from Pikes Peak Highway, 7 minutes from Mueller State Park (lots of hiking trails), 35 minutes from Florrisant Fossil Park, 15 minutes to the Mollie Kathleen Mine, 45 minutes to Colorado Springs. Breckenridge is 4 hours away; Copper Mountain is a few hours away--both of these are skiing resorts. Anna is a full time innkeeper. She loves God, praying, children and crafts. Jim is a government employee at Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD) in Colorado Springs. He loves shooting, hunting and rebuilding a 1944 Willys Jeep. Their son, who works as a technician at Woodmen Valley Chapel, likes to hiking computers and shooting. Their daughter takes online college courses and loves children, music and reading. The Buchanans have a ministry avenue of the Inn, Stonehaven Ministries. They take in pastors and missionaries for free. They worship at the Woodman Valley Chapel.

 

Colorado -- Limon

Craig Ranch Bed & Breakfast & Horse Motel

Johnny and Beth's residence is a homestay on a 15,000 acre working cattle ranch with a quiet, peaceful, family atmosphere. Johnny enjoys the cattle. Beth's interests are in crafts, cooking, photography, music, gardening and horses. Limon is a hub for travelers and offers municipal golf course and pool, Doug Kissel Fishing Pond, walking and biking trails, bowling, theater, Prairie Ridge Buffalo Ranch, heritage museum, 11 restaurants and 12 worship centers. Johnny and Beth worship at a Baptist church. Their home is just 3.5 miles from I-70 Hwy.

 

Connecticut -- Old Saybrook

Deacon Timothy Pratt Bed & Breakfast

Shelley's B & B is located on a pretty gas-lit main street in historic district, walking distance to quaint shops, restaurants, theaters, churches and the water. Located in quintessential New England Village of Old Saybrook, where the CT River meets the Long Island sand. It is one mile from beaches, lighthouses, and cruises. She is next door to an old fashioned ice cream parlor, coffee house and art gallery. Shelley was an electrical engineer for 8 years with the navy. She now enjoys being a full time inn keeper. Each room is very elegantly decorated in period style with spacious baths, fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, four poster or canopy beds, TV, phones w/ modem lines and comfortable reading chairs. Shelley serves full breakfasts on weekends, and expanded continental breakfasts on weekdays. Children over 6 welcome Sun. - Thurs. nights only. Shelley worships at an Episcopal church.

 

Florida -- Orange City

Alling House Bed & Breakfast

Feel comfortable in an historical home decorated in Folk Victorian style. Less than three miles from Blue Spring State Park and the St. John’s River. Thirty minutes from Daytona and New Smyrna Beaches. Activities include Kayaking, fishing, antiquing, hot air balloon rides, dinner cruise, local theater, historic downtown DeLand. An hour or so to Kennedy Space Center and Central Florida’s major tourist attractions. Gerald works full time as a software engineer in a telecommunications division of Siemens. Nan is the person that makes people want to come back for another stay. Her gift of hospitality and servanthood makes each person feel special and drawn to her. They worship at a Baptist church.

 

Georgia -- Dublin

Page House Bed & Breakfast

Kelly and Janice have enjoyed restoring their 96 year-old mansion. They enjoy hosting guests from around the world and creating memorable events for the many weddings and banquets that are held at the Page House. They enjoy sailing their yacht, playing the grand piano and playing chess with the children. Janice manages the day-to-day operations of the home; Kelly is the "maintenance man" for the gardens and mansion. He also enjoys his job as a school Social Worker. They worship at a Baptist Church. Dublin, GA is home to one of the largest St. Patrick festivals in the nation. The festivities begin four weeks prior to the weekend closest to St. Patrick's Day. It is a family-oriented event. There are parks and recreational facilities within walking distance to the Page House. The Theatre Dublin and the Laurens County Historical Society & Museum are within a five-minute walk. Walking tours are available.

 

Massachusetts -- Yarmouthport (Cape Cod)

Agapé Bed & Breakfast

John and Melissa are centrally located in an historic seaside village on Cape Cod, MA. They are surrounded by antique homes, antique stores, nature trails, great beaches (salt and fresh water), golf courses, tennis, boating, theatre, movies, shopping and great restaurants. John is a builder/remodeler. He primarily restored the 1843 Sea Captain's home. He is currently working on a degree in accounting. Melissa mainly stays home to home educate their children, and run the b & B. She works part time for a commuter airline, and is a temporary Dental Hygienist. The O'Rourkes worship at a Christian church.

 

Missouri -- Annapolis

Rachel's Bed and Breakfast

Sharon is an RN by trade, Joe an EMT, and former Nursing Home Administrator. They traveled and set up Christian Schools for years and are pioneers in the Homeschool movement as well. Joe has a motorcycle that he rarely gets to ride and Sharon likes to quilt. They love meeting people from all over the world, and believe that everyone that stays in their home has been sent by God. Joe is a licensed minister and performs wedding ceremonies at their home. They love doing the B & B business and are eager to serve. Joe and Sharon worship at a home fellowship (non-denominational). There are numerous antique shops, and historical museums, plus Annapolis Mineral Springs and many sites nearby. The highest waterfall in the state is in the area, Johnson Shut-ins, Elephant Rock State Park, Rocky Falls, Blue Springs, Sam A. Baker State Park, Clearwater Lake and Black River float are all in the vicinity. There is an on-site restaurant!

 

Missouri -- Black

Koinania Cottage Vacation Rental

Duane and Mary live on 90 acres surrounded by National Forest in the Foothills of the Ozarks. They raise hormone free beef and have a couple horses. Duane is a HVAC man and can fix anything! Mary takes care of the farm activities as well as gardening and looking after the vacation rental Koinania Cottage. They are active in the homeschool movement speaking at conventions and support groups. Hiking, swimming, fishing, photography, birdwatching and relaxing are all available on the property. Nearby are ATV rentals and horseback riding. Duane and Mary worship at a Church of God. The accommodation is a separate self-contained cottage.

 

New York -- Andover

The Mustard Seed Inn & Bed & Breakfast

Anthony and Mary are retired from positions as a global conference seminar director and teaching. They both enjoy gardening, walking, reading, classical music, theatre, opera, historic house renovation, interior decorating and culinary arts. Their home is 8 miles S of Alfred State College (SUNY) and Alfred University in Alfred, NY and 35 miles S of Houghton College in Houghton, NY. They are 90 miles S of Rochester and Buffalo, NY and 40 miles W of Corning, NY. Hiking, biking, X-country skiing, tours of Finger Lakes, wine region, Corning Glass Museum, Allegany Artisans (Oct.), Andover Maple Festival (Apr.), Letchworth Park are all close by. Anthony and Mary worship at a Presbyterian church. Accommodations are the use of entire 1,100 sq. ft. private guest home with full kitchen.

 

New York -- Freeville (Ithaca)

Terry is the widow of a family physician who served the Groton area for many years. She now lives with her son, David. She is active in many church activities, as well as being an 'armchair' genealogist and avid gardner. Nearby activities include antiquing, sightseeing, skiing, boating, festivals, hunting, fishing, hiking and fine dining. Terry worships at a Baptist church. Her home is just 10 miles east of Ithaca and 10 miles west of I-81 freeway.

 

Pennsylvania -- East Petersburg (Lancaster)

Siegrist Inn Bed & Breakfast

Curtis and JoAn's historic home was built in 1854. They live close to the Amish country, Hershey Park, Outlet malls, Route 30, Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and are close to both Lancaster and Harrisburg airports. They both enjoy meeting new people. They like music, art and car shows. Curtis and JoAn worship at an Evangelical church.

 

Rhode Island -- East Providence

John and Krista are Christian workers. John is an Engineering Consultant. Krista teaches their children and runs the B & B. Just 5 minutes to downtown Providence, Convention Center, Brown University, RISD and Johnson & Wales, this New England Victorian home was used as a rooming house for over half a century. Their home is less than an hour from Boston, Newport, Cape Cod, Mystic and Plymouth Plantation. John Krista and their family worship at a non-denominational church in Riverside.

 

South Carolina -- Fort Mill

Bill and Mary own a small marine construction company, operating on nearby Lake Wylie. they enjoy antiques, woodworking, gardening, and soap making. They live 30 minutes to Charlotte, NC where there is a large performing arts center, pro football, NASCAR races. Nearby are a state park and Paramount Carowinds Amusement Park, as well as 32 antique shops within 12 miles. Lots of golf! Bill and Mary worship at a Bible Church.

Texas -- Aubrey

Bill’s home is located just north of the Dallas Fort Worth Texas metroplex, where there is the blessing of country living and only a short distance to museums, theater, gardens and wonderful sporting attractions. Bill retired from a global Information Technology company to care for his wife, who after a five year health struggle, went home to be with the Lord in 2005. The bed & breakfast was to be their retirement plan. Bill is now fulfilling their dream. He worships at the Church of Simple Faith.

 

Texas -- Gainesville

Brad and Marcia are professional innkeepers as well as being travel agents. Their luxury Bed & Breakfast has extra amenities and the finest European linens. They worship at a Catholic church.

 

Texas -- Hughes Springs

Holly Hill Homestead & Retreat

Like going home to Grandma’s, circa 1920. Jolene’s home is peaceful and relaxing in a rural and wooded setting. There is a state park nearby and several recreational lakes in the area. Activities include fishing, golfing, birding, hiking and antiquing. There is a local outdoor theatre showing family type movies during favorable weather. Also county fairs and festivals. Jolene operates the B & B full time and offers meals by reservation as well as a variety of workshops and other activities. She worships at the Church on the Rock.

 

Texas -- Spring

McLachlan Farm Bed & Breakfast

Jim is a machine salesman. Joycelyn operates their Bed & Breakfast and wedding facility. They are just one mile to Old Town Spring--with over 150 shops--and are 20 miles N of Houston. Nearby are golfing, swimming, museums, Splash Town, AstroWorld, NASA, and Galveston. Jim and Joycelyn worship at an Assembly of God church. Two of their rooms are large and offer jetted tubs and fireplaces.

 

Texas -- Tehuacana

The Trinity Institute

Located 90 miles S of Dallas and 40 miles E of Waco, this Christian Retreat Center takes in travelers. Director, Dr. James Parker, is in residence part-time while teaching at a large Baptist seminary part of the year and speaking and traveling some of the remainder of the time. Managers, Chuck and BJ Wyatt, have lived all over the world, doing volunteer mission work in Guam, Haiti, Japan, Africa and in various parts of the States since retiring from the Navy several years ago. They have an interesting collection of artifacts from their travels. Nearby is Ft. Parker (a restored 1830's fort museum) and Lake Mexia. Trinity Christian Institute is a retreat center. We take B&B guests. Kitchen facilities are available.

 

Vermont -- Bridport

Champlain Valley Alpacas & Farm Stay

Jenny and Les, raise alpacas (an exotic wool bearing cousin of the llama) in this small farm town. They also operate a B & B out of their 1880's farm house, situated just two miles from Lake Champlain. All their rooms are furnished with antiques. Their accommodations would best suit a farm stay or pastoral retreat. They have hosted over 1,000 international guests. Jenny is active in worship and family. Les loves photographing family and God's creation and enjoys organic gardening. They attend a Bible chapel with their family.

 

Vermont -- Morrisville

Village Victorian Bed & Breakfast

Ellen, a 5th grade teacher, loves gardening. Philip, recently retired from working with children with handicaps, restaurant work, pastoring and running a Christian bookstore, is interested in knowing God better. They both love meeting new people and love the Lord. They are a short distance from all the major tourist areas of Central Vermont. Ellen and Philip worship at a Christian Assembly church.

 

Vermont -- Westminister

Ted is a former professional musician, who currently works in construction. Helene is an artist/designer who paints portraits, designs interiors and does fine sewing. Recreational activities in the area include a local artist colony, flea markets, antique shops, Green Mountain RR excursions, Connecticut River boat rides, nature walks, fishing, free Sunday evening outdoor concerts, local theater, three golf courses, and more. Ted and Helene worship at a Catholic church.

 

Virginia -- Nokesville

Alan, a Pastor of Administration, and Carolee, who operates the B & B, enjoy the beach, mountains, snorkeling, water sports, hiking, shopping, dining out. They live near the Manassas Civil War Battlefields and are a one hour's drive from Washington D.C. Their home has the look of a 19th century plantation home overlooking 153 acres of beautiful pastoral meadows. Alan and Carolee attend a Bible church.

 

Virginia -- Petersburg

Scents of Cedar

Bill and Kathy's cedar log home is located in a rural area that is great for bike rides through the countryside. They also have a large in-ground pool for day and night swimming. For those interested in history, they are located about 60 miles from Williamsburg and the James River Plantations. They are also about 25 miles from Richmond, Virginia's capital. Bill and Kathy both work in computer software development. Their interests include camping, bowling, sking, golf, reading and needlepoint. Bill is a Deacon at a Baptist Church in Carson Virginia where the family has been members for the last 4 years.

 

Wisconsin -- Wisconsin Dells

Bowman's Oak Hill Bed and Breakfast

David and Nancy are a short mile from the scenic beauty of the Wisconsin Dells River District. Their property is a heavenly wooded area to rest, reflect and renew. Theme parks, water skiing, and fishing plus four walking trails are nearby. Downhill, X-country skiing and snowmobile trails are nearby. Museums, shopping and the Crystal Grand Theater are close by. David is the Pastor of a small country church. He also works at Home Depot and is the “do it all” man at the B & B. He has administered Christian Schools for 27 years prior to coming to the dells to take care of Nancy’s aging aunt who is in her 90’s. David enjoys golf, fishing, biking, gardening, wood turning and carving. Nancy helps him with church activities, takes care of her aunt and works the B & B. She enjoys cooking, flower gardening and biking. They have four grown daughters and 9 grandchildren.
