International Christian Bed & Breakfast Network

--
Membership Guidelines--

The International Christian Bed & Breakfast Network (ICBBN) is a hospitality network designed for evangelical Christians to enjoy fellowship with one another and to provide lodging at affordable prices. We ask that all new members fill out an Application Form as thoroughly as possible and agree with the ICBBN Statement of Faith as a pledge to our common bond as Christians.

ONLINE MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY

Regular Members:--We maintain an online up-to-date directory of our members and their locations around the world to help you plan your next trip or vacation. See Regular B&B Listings. To maintain confidentiality we do not publish last names, phone numbers or addresses of our members.

Commercial Members:--There is a category of members who operate commercial Bed & Breakfast establishments. They wish to be members and to be listed on the ICBBN website as such. Their rates are generally higher than $32 a night. Members and non-members of ICBBN are encouraged to MAKE THEIR OWN RESERVATIONS with these establishments. Full details are listed on the ICBBN website. See Commercial B&B Members.

FEES

The Annual Membership Fee for all ICBBN members is $30 US for either an individual or household. Membership entitles you to lodging anywhere in the world where there are regular members for just $32 US a night for two, including breakfast next morning with your host. Single travelers also pay $32 US per night. Floor space is free for one child 15 or under. Arrangements for larger families may be made on an individual basis. A Reservation Fee of $6 US may be charged for each confirmed accommodation site. (Please Note:--this is NOT a per night charge.)

CREDITS: HOSTING & REFERRAL

As a host, you receive a Hosting Credit of $11 US per night each time you host fellow members. This is posted to your Credit Fund. You may use these cumulative credits for your own future travel or for paying your Annual Membership Fee. If you refer a new member to the network, you will earn $10 US into your Credit Fund.

Credits are not redeemable in cash. Since we have members from around the world, all fees and credits are quoted in US dollars.

YOU AS A TRAVELER

There are five ways for you to make a travel reservation:

Once ICBBN staff receives your reservation request, members you selected are contacted in the order selected. If a member is unable to host on the given date, alternate choices are then contacted. When members are contacted and agree to host you, you will be contacted by ICBBN staff with the names and telephone numbers of the hosting member(s). An itinerary of your trip and an invoice will be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to you.

All billing is done through the ICBBN office. You pay nothing to your host. Upon confirmation of your reservation, for each party's convenience, you must contact (by email or phone) your host as soon as possible in order to introduce yourself, confirm your arrival time, and ask for directions to the member's home. If you cannot reach your host within 5 days, please contact ICBBN.

Hosts will provide a clean bedroom, access to a clean bathroom and a breakfast consisting of a minimum of toast, cereal, juice, tea or coffee. Please leave the room as clean and tidy as you found it when you arrived!

Please give ICBBN as much advance notice as possible as to your travel plans. Ideally, at least two week's notice is required to make all the necessary arrangements with a comfortable amount of working time.

YOU AS A HOST

As a host, you do not need to offer deluxe accommodations. ICBBN members expect only a room with a clean comfortable bed, access to a clean bathroom and breakfast the next morning. Hosting should be an enjoyable experience as you fellowship with traveling Christians. When ICBBN receives a reservation request to your city or town from a member who wishes to stay with you, you may be contacted and asked to accommodate that member. When ICBBN contacts you, it is usually a minimum of one to two weeks in advance. You can always decline if it is not convenient. You should feel no pressure from anyone to host fellow members! Since you receive no money from your guests, you are not operating a Bed & Breakfast business, and therefore, do not require licensing--exception: those who are operating a Commercial Bed & Breakfast business.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancellations are made at least three days in advance, there will be no charge except for the $6 US Reservation Fee. For cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance you will be fully refunded, except for the ($32 US) first night's lodging. To cancel a reservation please notify your host and contact ICBBN by phone, fax or e-mail. This policy applies if you cancel just one night or your entire itinerary.

ICBBN GUARANTEE

If for any reason, you are not satisfied with the services of the ICBBN, you may withdraw your membership at any time and the balance of your annual fees will be refunded promptly.

HOME EXCHANGE

Visit our Home Exchange Service at www.ChristianHomeXchange.com! ICBBN members in good standing may list their home on the Home Exchange at any time for a one year period at NO CHARGE! Non-members may also list their home provided they agree with the ICBBN/ChristianHomeXchange.com Statement of Faith.

Please Note: It is the policy of ICBBN that single travelers will not be placed into homes of single hosts of the opposite gender.
