Marie is a retired technologist, but is working part time as an educator/speaker. Her interests include reading and ministry. Ken is a surgeon and is interested in skiing and medical missions. They also enjoy sailing, scuba diving and traveling together. Close by are the Shakespeare Festival, Old Salem, NC Zoo, Emerald Pointe Water Park, a small sailing lake, golf and tennis, as well as the mountains and the coastal area. Marie and Ken worship at a Wesleyan church.

Rick works in sales and computers at a building supply center. Debbie works in PR and volunteer coordination at the local Arts Council. Both are active in their church, in outreach ministry and Singles Ministry. Debbie is in the praise band. Rick is a woodworker (and all round handy guy!). They both enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling and entertaining. Guest quarters are separate from the main home. Nearby are hiking, biking, rafting, canoeing, camping, golfing, fishing. It is a short distance to Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. Rick and Debbie worship at a Community church.

Don and Jan are retired and live in a log home on one acre. They like to garden, travel, and walk and hike for exercise. Church activities are also an interest. They are in the renowned recreation and cultural area of western NC between the quaint towns of Tryon and Columbus. They are protected from weather extremes by an isothermal belt. Don and Jan attend a Baptist church.

Jack and Kathleen are a few miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blueridge Parkway. Waynesville is a tourist town with many shops and restaurants, and almost weekly festivals. They are the owners of a local motor rewind shop. Their interests include travel, hosting missionaries, grandkids and playing games. Jack and Kathleen worship at a New Covenant church. (The guest room has a private half bath.)
